After completing his undergraduate and graduate studies in physics at Cambridge University, Vincent decided to pursue a new path as a journalist, editor and writer/broadcaster in the Hong Kong media field. Later on, he made another new attempt by completing his PhD studies in Marketing at HKUST. After graduating and taking on the position of Visiting Assistant Professor at HKUST, he returned to the UK where he is now a University Lecturer in Marketing & Decision Sciences at the Cambridge Judge Business School. He teaches MBA and MPhil students as well as undergraduates, and tremendously enjoys his life at Cambridge.
During his time in the journalism sector, Vincent was a case writer at the University of Hong Kong's Centre for Asian Business Cases (now Asia Case Research Centre). There, he produced over 20 business cases which have been used worldwide. His literary works, which include novels, short stories and prose essays, have won a number of awards at the Asia-Pacific Case Writing Competition and the Hong Kong Awards for Creative Writing in Chinese. Today he continues to write on classical music and the arts for publications in Hong Kong.
Vincent chose to pursue further studies at HKUST because of its academic strength. "I was attracted by the top notch faculty and the research excellence at the Marketing Department of HKUST. I am particularly grateful to Professor Rami Zwick who has allowed me to develop my interest into further research," he says.
