Event Recap
More than 90 alumni from the Division of Life Science (LIFS) returned to campus on 14 March 2026 to reconnect with fellow graduates and professors at the LIFS Alumni Homecoming 2026.
The event began with a welcoming cocktail reception, followed by a buffet lunch. The lunch program opened with remarks from Prof. Guojun BU, Head of Division, who warmly greeted the alumni and highlighted recent developments and achievements within the Division. Prof. Yung Hou WONG, Dean of Science, then shared updates on the progress and future plans of the University’s Medical School.
Representatives from the Life Science Alumni Association (LSAA) introduced the Association and highlighted their past events and upcoming agenda. Two new initiatives from the Development & Alumni Office (DAO) – Alumni Commons and the Class Ambassador Program – were also presented. Before taking group photos, LIFS faculty members led a heartfelt toast to celebrate the reunion. In the afternoon, alumni enjoyed a visit to the newly launched Alumni Commons, which is designed to foster alumni engagement.
The Homecoming gathering provided a wonderful opportunity for alumni and faculty to reconnect, build new relationships, and stay informed about the latest developments in the Division and the Medical School. By hosting regular reunions and community-building activities, the Division aims to strengthen alumni bonds and nurture a lasting sense of belonging.
We look forward to many more LIFS get-togethers in the future!
