Event Recap
Last Tuesday we had over 170 and students around the world joining us at our virtual kick-off event. This virtual gathering celebrated the beginning of our HKUST United (https://alum.ust.hk/hkust-united) program which aims to help students and fresh grads kickstart their careers. We had President Shyy and Professor King Chow, Acting Dean of Students to share about University support for HKUST students during these challenging times; while alumnus Jack Lau, our first HKUST Ph.D. graduate brought words of encouragement to our students and fresh grad. Alumnae Bianca Ho, Co-founder of Clare A.I. and alumnus Dicky Yuen, Founder of Venturenix provided insightful and practical career tips and shared about their career paths. We would like to give a big thank you to all the supporters to make this program possible. HKUST United has an overwhelming response of over 1000 alumni supporters and students participating. We hope to continue to align talents and needs, and unite the HKUST community together.
