After graduating from HKUST, Chi Wing was keen to do his part in creating a greener world. With this in mind, he decided to join Advanced Photoelectronic Technology Ltd. (APT), a company founded by fellow alumnus David Xiao with the support of HKUST' s Entrepreneur Program. APT is a leading LED chips manufacturer in Hong Kong and mainland China which develops environmentally-friendly lighting. 

"Traditional light bulbs will be eradicated from the market in a few years, whereas LED lighting and energy-saving lamps will take their place. LED lightings have the advantage of being bright. As long as their costs go down, they will become popular indoor illuminating devices with energy-saving qualities,”says Chi Wing.
