Chenyang Li, also known as "Up主," is a successful social media influencer. Hailing from Beijing, Chenyang's journey in the world of social media began during his time at HKUST as a way to unwind after classes. Starting with a simple goal of passing time, he soon realized that creating and uploading videos was not as difficult as he initially thought.

Since his humble beginnings in 2015, Chenyang, with his account name "LKs," has gained over 3.5 million fans on the popular Mainland Chinese platform, Bilibili. He has become well-known for his signature look, always aviator sunglasses. Chenyang covers a diverse range of topics in his videos, including technology, video games, music, and food. His content often features tips and insights, attracting a wide audience. What sets him apart is his commitment to keeping his videos relatable and tied to real-life experiences. He focuses on sharing experiences and products that viewers can easily relate to and find meaningful.

Chenyang's path to social media fame was unexpected, as he first pursued a degree in public administration intending to become a civil servant. However, his time at HKUST studying social sciences and learning to analyze things from a sociological perspective unknowingly prepared him for his future as a social media influencer.

For Chenyang, providing quality content is paramount. He believes that if the video is good enough, success will follow. He emphasizes the importance of trusting one's own judgment and constantly learning and exploring new things for inspiration. Consistently uploading videos is a fundamental requirement for becoming a professional content creator.

Chenyang is working on projects like "Drifting Camera," where he sent a camera worth 60,000 yuan on a 300-day journey across Mainland China to document lives across the country. This project has not only achieved what many consider impossible but also marked an important milestone in his media career. His next ambitious project, the Tu Yile Original Music Competition, aims to be the world's largest individual original music competition.

Chenyang's journey from an HKUST graduate to a social media star exemplifies the power of pursuing what one believes is impossible and making it possible. Through his engaging content and unwavering determination, he continues to charm and inspire others on his remarkable journey in social media.
