In 2009, Billy and several friends who shared his passion for travel and voluntary service founded VolTra, the first work-camp organization in Hong Kong. VolTra connects passionate Hong Kong people with international work-camps in order to promote global citizenship and cultural exchange. Each year, it partners with work-camp organizations worldwide to provide more than 3,000 international work-camps and voluntary service projects in over 100 countries. VolTra also organizes international work-camps in Hong Kong for local and overseas volunteers.

An avid traveler, Billy has visited all the provinces in China and over 30 countries around the world. These experiences gave him the passion and power to devote himself to travel writing, and in 2006 he published his first travel novel. He then went on to write a travelogue book with elements of photography and music to share his unforgettable experiences in Tibet.  He is presently leading VolTra as its chairperson.
