Wanting to establish his own business as well as contribute back to society, Gary joined hands with several friends to found GreenSpark Green Life Limited, a company dedicated to promoting environmentally-friendly gifts to help its customers build a unique and positive image. GreenSpark has produced gifts and premiums for thousands of large multinational corporations, government departments, NGOs, financial institutions, and educational institutions in Hong Kong and around the world. 

At the foundation of GreenSpark's success lie hard work, dedication and perseverance. The company's first product was a small, foldable recyclable bag that could be attached to a keychain so that users would not forget to bring it with them. The plan was to sell these environmentally-friendly bags at newsstands and take a percentage of the revenue. However after approaching hundreds of newsstands across Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories, only a handful agreed to support this initiative. 

Despite the lackluster response, the GreenSpark team continued to brainstorm new products and seize all opportunities that came their way. This determination paid off and today, GreenSpark has built up a strong customer base that includes big names such as Sony, Adidas, McDonalds, Greenpeace, HKTDC, HSBC, and many more.

Outside of his work with GreenSpark, Gary also runs Binary System Limited, a comprehensive business management software company, with fellow HKUST alumnus Jason Auyeung. Binary provides one stop packages for all Information Technology services and specializes in helping clients come up with the most suitable Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
