Catherine attributes her success to the undergraduate and postgraduate education she received from HKUST. "The PhD program is well-structured and the training is world class. Every professor is dedicated and nurturing. I applaud the Department for being ranked top 3 in the world for its outstanding research productivity," she says.
At HKUST, Catherine met her husband Ho Man Wai who is now a faculty member at the Department of Statistics and Applied Probability at NUS. Catherine enjoyed teaching in Singapore as the students are highly motivated and international. "With trilingual language competence, students are generally vocal and expressive. I embrace the academic vigor sparked by interactive discourse during lectures," Catherine adds.
