HKUST Pioneers Summer Camp
Jul 18, 2026 (Sat)

To mark the University’s 35th Anniversary, the inaugural HKUST Pioneers Summer Camp was held on July 18–19, 2026, co-organized by the Development and Alumni Office and the HKUST Convocation.  The event brought together around 400 alumni, along with their families and friends, for a weekend filled with energy, laughter, and discovery across the Clear Water Bay campus. We are deeply grateful to the event sponsor, Mr. Terry Tsang, whose generous support made this celebration possible.

The camp featured an engaging and diverse lineup of activities. Highlights included the Opening Dialogue with President Nancy Ip, alongside inspiring talks and hands-on STEAM & AI workshops for participants from different age groups. They also enjoyed lifestyle and entertainment experiences, including electrifying live band performances, campus tours, relaxing yoga sessions, coffee tasting, and wine tasting.

To enhance the reunion experience, participants enjoyed an overnight stay at the brand-new Jockey Club i-Village student hall. The camp concluded with an insightful lecture by Prof. King Li, followed by a graduation ceremony where Prof. Li presented certificates to children in recognition of their enthusiastic involvement.

The camp provided a wonderful chance for the alumni community to reconnect, as well as an opportunity for them to witness the University’s latest developments and remarkable growth over the past 35 years.
