This year, the HKUST Alumni Dragon Boat Club (HKUSTADBC) traveled to Hualien, Taipei to compete in the 15th IDBF Club Crew World Championships, held from August 29 to September 6, 2026. 

The team made history by clinching 2nd Runner-Up in the Senior A 200m Grand Final with an impressive time of 51.45 seconds, stepping onto the podium on the world stage for the first time! They also finished 8th in the World / 1st in Asia in the Small Boat 500m Senior A Mixed Final.
