The Opening Ceremony of the HKUST Alumni Commons and A Feast of Togetherness – Poon Choi Party, jointly organized with the HKUST Alumni Association and HKUST Convocation, took place successfully on January 17 and attended by over 300 alumni, friends and supporters on campus.

At the opening ceremony, distinguished officiating guests, including President Professor Nancy Ip, HKUST Council Members, HKUST Foundation Board Members, Vice-President for Institutional Advancement Professor Charles Ng, and other senior management, joined alumni and friends in sharing their best wishes for the University’s future.

Following the ribbon-cutting at the entrance of Alumni Commons, participants enjoyed a guided tour of the Alumni Commons and the Galleria of Alumni Legacy, where generous donors to the Alumni Endowment Fund (AEF) are honored with their names on commemorative plaques.

The evening continued with A Feast of Togetherness – Poon Choi Party, with captivating vocal performances by our talented student and alumni — Sian Lee, Paul Au and Xavier Yam and filling the S. H. Ho Sports Hall with warm applause and festive energy.
