Khaki strives to document the changes of Hong under the penname Brownwhite (啡白). After winning the fourth Young Writers' Debut Competition in 2013, he published his first book titled Mom and Pop Store (夫妻檔) which features seven elderly couples who married and opened their shops during the 1960s and 1970s, a period when Hong Kong's economy was in a downturn and life was tough. After 30 years of ups and downs, these shops are still operating and offering products and services with compassion. With a desire to "speak what I want and express what I think and view," Khaki plans to create more touching stories for his readers.
