Laura Cozijnsen is a Dutch-Chinese entrepreneur, a motivational communications trainer, and an acclaimed master of ceremonies who speaks English, Putonghua and Cantonese. In her 20 years working in Southeast Asia and Greater China, she has developed an acute interest in the application of positive communication across cultures and organizations. 

Laura founded media and communications firm Lighthouse Consultant Ltd in 2006, which is her second entrepreneurial venture, that has won numerous industry accolades in publicity and campaign management and attained ISO 9001 quality certification in 2018. Her clientele ranges from multinationals to government bodies, including Asia Society, Bank of China, The Hong Kong Jockey Club, and government bureaus and departments. Prior to that, in the capacity of Director of Distribution, she headed the South East Asia marketing and public relations function at media company STAR Group Limited, under News Corporation. 

Using her facilitation know-how as an external consultant to change and cultural projects, group dynamics in organizations she works with are productive, constructive and engaging, with heightened performance potential.  She conducts trainings on change communication, leadership dialogue, crisis communication and brand story delivery. She delivers management learning programmes for corporate and government clients, as well as in the academic field for global institutions such as the Masters Programme for The University of Hong Kong and many others. 

Laura holds an Executive Masters from INSEAD in Consulting and Coaching For Change and a Bachelors in Marketing from HKUST. She is also trained in Appreciative Inquiry and Action Learning. Laura is a dedicated and supportive alumna, and led the HKUST Alumni Association as its President from 2010-2012. She loves books, coffee and is a dog-lover.
