Prof. Chia-Wei Woo, the Founding President of our Alma Mater retired in 2001 after 13 years of service and remains President Emeritus as well as Professor Emeritus at HKUST. The alumni in the Bay Area were all very excited to meet Prof. Chia-Wei Woo during his visit.  The lunch gathering on August 19, 2017 at a restaurant in Fremont was filled with laughter and endless stories from Prof. Woo, and made this whole experience like a family reunion. Our alumnus even mentioned that Prof. Woo "was so excited to see the HKUST car plate in Bay Area".
