Warren Lee
Music Educator and Performer
MBA

At the tender age of six, Warren debuted as a musical performer at a Hong Kong Philharmonic performance at the Hong Kong Coliseum. Since then, his musical journey took him to the UK and the USA before he returned to Hong Kong where he is now Music Director at St. Paul's Co-educational College and Primary School; a guest professor at the Central Conservatory of Music EOS Orchestra Academy; and an adjunct faculty and visiting artist in various institutions in Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Australia and the UK.

He has been hailed as a child prodigy since he was young and has performed as a soloist with leading orchestras in Asia. He has received numerous distinctions for his musical prowess, including being named one of Ten Outstanding Young Persons (Hong Kong) in 2012 and winning second prize of the Gianni Bergamo Classic Music Award for his work House Rules in 2013.

A Steinway Artist since 2009, he was among the first featured artists to record on Steinway's Spirio upon its launch in 2016. A recipient of the Cultural Leadership Citation from Yale University School of Music in 2016, Warren is also the Hong Kong Representative of Royal Academy of Music.

Warren chose to pursue an MBA degree to better equip himself in terms of management and strategy. He decided on HKUST because of its international diversity: "Having already studied in the UK and US, I wanted an international culture. It is one of the best decisions I have made. I learned a lot about myself and how to analyze critically. It has been very useful in equipping myself with management skills that are proving very useful in my job," he says. Through the MBA program, he also made many friends from various walks of life, many of whom had never met a musician before.
