Dining together is the basis of community building. To further cultivate the giving spirit, the Convocation Meetup Series has been launched for alumni and friends, supported by Convocation Chairman Terry Tsang who covers all costs. Participants contribute to the Alumni Endowment Fund (AEF), supporting needy students and changing the world by empowering education.
AEF is an exciting development in the history of HKUST, the first-ever endowment fund to receive the majority of its donations from alumni. The promotion of AEF has been a crucial responsibility for the Convocation Standing Committee, which works to fund raise for the University, and offer innovative ideas and promote good relations between HKUST and the public.
