If you activated your @alumni email account before March 2014, you will need to authenticate your email account here on or before 14 February 2021. Alumni whose emails are activated / authenticated after Hong Kong time 11:59 pm on 14 February 2021 will NOT be eligible to vote. Voting Arrangements

  • In relation to 9 vacancies in the Standing Committee, there being 11 candidates, an online election will be conducted from Hong Kong Time 15:00 on 16 February 2021 to 15:00 on 1 March 2021 on the e-voting platform.
  • There shall be no proxy arrangements for the election. It will not be possible to vote after the close of the e-voting platform. There will be NO in-person voting at the Annual General Meeting on 8 March 2021. The venue of the Annual General Meeting will be confirmed at a later date, and may take place online via Zoom if the government’s social distancing policies are in effect.
  • To vote, you will need the username and password of your HKUST alumni email account to log into the e-voting system. If you have never used your alumni email account before, please activate it here on or before 14 February 2021. If you activated your @alumni email account before March 2014*, you will need to authenticate your email account here on or before 14 February 2021. Alumni whose emails are activated / authenticated after Hong Kong time 11:59 pm on 14 February 2021 will NOT be eligible to vote.   • To vote, visit the e-voting platform and log in with the username and password of your alumni email account (the “abc” of abc@alumni.ust.hk or abc@connect.ust.hk).
  • The Annual General Meeting on 8 March 2021 will be followed by a subsequent meeting among the elected members of the Standing Committee, by which a Chairman and a Vice-Chairman shall be elected.
