Rudi Leung, the Director and Founder of Hungry Digital, has carved a unique path in the advertising industry. With a background as an award-winning advertising veteran, columnist, musician, and part-time lecturer, Rudi's diverse experiences have shaped his creative approach and entrepreneurial success.

Rudi's career in advertising began unexpectedly when he interviewed an ad agency for a report during his time as a reporter for the Hong Kong Economic Times. Inspired by the industry, he joined the agency and embarked on a journey that led him to become a digital and social media specialist. As the internet and social media emerged, Rudi recognized the transformative power of these platforms and expanded his skill sets to adapt to the changing landscape.

In 2016, Rudi founded Hungry Digital to address the increasing demand for personalized digital solutions and leverage the immersive and interactive nature of social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Looking ahead, Rudi predicts that social media will continue to evolve, with a focus on visual content dominating platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. He emphasizes the growing role of AI, machine learning, and micro-influencers in content creation and curation, as these technologies help brands tailor their messaging to target audiences effectively.

Consistently delivering high-quality content remains essential for success in the digital landscape. Rudi highlights the rise of short-form content formats like Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, emphasizing the importance of creativity and authenticity in gaining followers. Entrepreneurs must be adaptable and willing to explore new platforms and formats as social media trends evolve.

Rudi's journey also highlights the significance of continuous learning and networking. His MBA studies at HKUST provided him with valuable networking opportunities and a platform to contribute as a writer for the Hong Kong Economic Journal. These experiences, combined with his passion for music and the arts, have instilled in him the value of curiosity, adaptability, and collaboration in his role as the head of an international ad agency.
